How to attach it to your phone, record a call and upload the audio to Voicit.

01Step 1

Attach it to the back of your phone

Choose your phone and see how the recorder attaches.

With MagSafe, it snaps on

Bring it close to the back of your iPhone: the magnet holds it in place. You don’t need the ring.

First, the magnetic ring

Stick the included ring in the center of the back of your phone. Then bring your Voicit Go close: it attaches to the ring.

Using a case?

If your case has MagSafe, your Voicit Go attaches directly. If it doesn’t, stick the magnetic ring on the outside of the case and bring the recorder close.

To record calls, it has to be attached.

Your Voicit Go records the call when it’s magnetically attached to the back of your phone, in direct contact. For an in-person meeting, there’s no need: just place it on the table.

02Step 2

Record with the switch

It’s the fastest way: it works even when the recorder is off. Try it here with the buttons or by tapping the illustration.

Off

Slide the switch up when the call begins: it starts recording instantly, even if it’s off.

Recording

The screen shows how long you’ve been recording. When the call ends, slide the switch down.

Saved

When you slide the switch down, the recording is saved (you’ll see “Saved”) and the recorder turns off (“BYE”).

Off

Give the button a gentle tap to turn it on.

On

Press and hold the button for 2 seconds to start recording.

Recording

One gentle tap pauses it. To save the recording, press and hold for 2 seconds.

Paused

The screen shows how much recording time is left in memory. Another tap resumes recording.

Saved

The recording is stored in memory, ready to upload to Voicit.

Screen locked

Two gentle taps lock the screen. One tap unlocks it.

Not responding? Press and hold the button for 15 seconds to restart it.

03Step 3

Upload the recording to Voicit from your computer

It’s the most convenient way: you connect the recorder, upload the file and Voicit does the rest.

Use the USB-C cable from the box. It opens like a USB stick: your recordings are the .ops files.

Go to app.voicit.com and choose the .ops file as is, even if your computer can’t play it: Voicit converts it.

Choose the report template and language, indicate whether it’s a call and click “Continue”. Voicit transcribes it and prepares the report.

No computer handy?

You can also upload it from your phone if you connect the recorder via USB-C. Open app.voicit.com on your phone and follow the same steps.

Charging and care

Four tips to make your Voicit Go last: how to charge it, what the light means and how to store it.

Charge it at 5 V and 1 A

Use an adapter of no more than 5 V and 1 A. Don’t use fast chargers (9 V): they can damage the recorder.

Check the light

Flashing red: it’s charging. Solid blue: fully charged.

If you store it for a long time

Charge and discharge it every 3 months to keep the battery healthy.

Upload your recordings often

The recorder isn’t a backup: upload them to Voicit.

20 hof recording per charge
68 hof audio fit in its memory
8 GBof internal memory
54 gin weight

Help

If something isn’t working as expected

The recorder isn’t responding

Press and hold the button for 15 seconds to restart it.

The call wasn’t recorded properly

To record calls, it must be magnetically attached to the back of your phone, in direct contact. If you use a case without MagSafe, stick the magnetic ring on the outside of the case.

I can’t open the .ops file

That’s normal: many computers can’t play that format. Upload it as is to Voicit, which converts it to MP3.

My computer doesn’t recognize it

Connect it with the cable from the box, since some cables only charge and don’t transfer data, and try another USB port.

Does it work with a case?

Yes, if the case has MagSafe. If it doesn’t, stick the magnetic ring on the outside of the case.

How long does the battery last?

About 20 hours of recording per charge. The 8 GB memory holds about 68 hours of audio.

Can I record in-person meetings?

Yes. Place it on the table and slide the switch up: it captures every participant.

Can I upload recordings from my phone?

Yes, if your phone lets you connect the recorder via USB-C. Open app.voicit.com on your phone and tap “Record or upload audio +”.
