All about us
Our mission is to change how talent is hired and how work is documented in companies: so that no important decision depends on memory, but on what was actually said in every interview and every meeting.
Every year there are more than 300 million hiring processes, and many more meetings that leave nothing behind but scattered notes. Behind them are interviews that get forgotten, reports written after hours and meeting minutes nobody ever reads again. We believe that time belongs to people, not to paperwork.
That's why we built Voicit: the AI assistant that documents meetings and interviews and automates what comes next. For recruitment teams, that means every candidate report in their own template, interviews scheduled faster, finalists matched to other opportunities and managers with real control over every process. For sales, consulting and training teams, it means never having to write meeting minutes by hand again.
We want every important conversation documented effortlessly, decisions made on data, not on memories, and people spending their time on what no AI can do: listening, understanding and choosing well.
Two engineers founded it in Málaga in 2022. Today we work from Valencia to bring this way of working to the whole world.
We automate the hiring process, not just the report
We started by generating candidate reports automatically, and today we support the recruiter across the whole process: from gathering requirements to placing finalists in new opportunities.
Our story
The idea is born at the University of Málaga
Álvaro and Rafa, students of Industrial Design and Product Development Engineering, start Voicit as a project for Startup Programme (Junior Achievement) and the Explorer program: a web app that takes notes automatically on video calls using speech recognition and AI.
The first awards
We win the Explorer Málaga Space, reach the national finals of Startup Programme and receive the Concurso Spin-Off award from the University of Málaga. Voicit becomes a university spin-off.
Voicit Technologies S.L. is born
On 6 May 2022 we incorporate the company. In June, Demium Capital comes on board as our first investor. That year we are runner-up at the Premios AJE Málaga, El Referente lists us in its Top 100 most innovative startups in Spain, and we win the Enterprise 4.0 award from La Opinión de Málaga in the Startup category.
Lanzadera, Valencia
We join Lanzadera, Juan Roig's accelerator, and move the team to Valencia. In April we sign our first paying customer and win the 26th edition of #SIConnect by BStartup (Banco Sabadell).
Angels and the European Union
Angels Capital invests in Voicit on 30 July. That year we receive the second prize at INTECMED (€20,000), a program co-funded by the European Union and run by the Seville Chamber of Commerce and the Corporación Tecnológica de Andalucía.
From meeting notes to recruitment
Voicit specializes in HR: candidate report templates, competency assessment based on critical incidents, team oversight and an opportunity finder for finalists. Companies like Telefónica, Deloitte, Zurich and Mahou San Miguel document their interviews with Voicit.
Cybersecurity and new challenges
Selected for the Cybersecurity Startup Program by INCIBE and Startup Valencia, which we leave as VDS Pitch Winner; we launch the Voicit Go recorder and our website in 7 languages, and join the Early Stage Program 2026 by València Innovation Capital.

Rafa Torres García
Industrial design engineer from the University of Málaga, where he worked on a drone flight controller and on prototyping the UMAair ventilator during the pandemic. He worked in product design (UX/UI) at Ortoplus before going full-time on Voicit. Today he designs and builds the product end to end: the interface, the report generation engine and the template creation agent. He writes the “Selección con criterio” newsletter on how to apply AI in interviews without the hype.
Álvaro Arrescurrenaga
Industrial design engineer from the University of Málaga, with a year of Mechanical Engineering at VIA University College (Denmark), where he designed the bodywork of the VIA Hunters Racing single-seater. He was a researcher in UMA's Department of Applied Physics before founding Voicit. He has spent more than four years studying how AI is changing recruitment: he talks to consultants and recruiters every day, writes the blog articles and trains candidates on what a recruiter really looks for.

Who is behind Voicit?
Rafa Torres (CTO) and Álvaro Arrescurrenaga (CEO), two engineers from the University of Málaga who founded Voicit Technologies S.L. in May 2022. We work from Valencia with the backing of Lanzadera, Angels Capital, Demium and the European Union.
Where are my recordings and reports stored?
On encrypted servers within the European Union, in compliance with GDPR. You decide when to delete them. More details on the security page.
Does Voicit source candidates for me?
Very soon. We're finalizing a partnership to bring candidate sourcing into Voicit. Today, Voicit documents the interviews you already run, generates the candidate report and helps you make the most of your finalists for other opportunities.
